Cancer's Facebook page.  I had the privilege of knowing the big lug of
Labrador Retriever known as Zeke, and it was a sad day indeed when the
dog trainer that saved his life had to make the decision every dog owner
dreads.  Purchase a print and help fund canine cancer research.

My opinion:  it was pure luck and possibly a little divine intervention that allowed Zeke's owner
Chris to capture the reference photo above WITH HIS PHONE while hunting one morning.  I
knew as soon as I saw this picture that I wanted to paint it.  Not long after the picture was
taken, Zeke was diagnosed with Lymphoma.  Chris and I collaborated a bit on the portrait and
Chris only wished that there was a duck in the picture since Chris had turned Zeke into quite a
fine retriever.  Well, therein lies the beauty of fine art...I added a duck.
